WELCOME TO KAREN AMBS MUSIC STUDIO
MY STORY
Personalized. Comprehensive. Fun.
I recognize the potential in each one of my students. With my individualized approach, I’ve seen my students’ self-esteem and skill-set consistently rise. Whether it is beginning piano lessons, or preparing students for musical theatre auditions, I love mentoring students in their musical journeys. I also teach private and group "First Steps in Music" classes to Infants through Kindergartners. Get in touch today so we can start working together.
LESSONS I PROVIDE
Success in learning frequently depends on finding the right music instructor; someone who knows the subject well and understands how to inspire others. I offer voice lessons, piano lessons, audition coaching, and "First Steps in Music" classes for infants and toddlers. Take a look at the lessons I provide and choose the right one for you.
PIANO LESSONS
Personalized Attention
Learning to play the piano builds a strong foundation which can be applied to any other instrument. In piano lessons, students will learn the fundamentals of music theory, ear training, notation reading, and piano playing technique. I work with beginning and intermediate piano students.

I also provide coaching for musical theatre auditions. I teach both private and semi-private voice lessons. Get in touch today to schedule a lesson at your convenience.

I am certified in First Steps In Music®, a music curriculum for infants, toddlers and preschoolers created by John Feierabend. I offer First Steps classes in the summer.
ABOUT ME
Graduating with a degree in music education with a vocal emphasis, I have worked with all ages of students for over 30 years. Having recently retired from a wonderful music career in the public schools, I now am focusing on private music instruction. Whether I am working with a group of infants, a beginning piano student, a singer who is preparing
for college auditions, or an adult who has always wanted to give music a try, I am blessed by the wonderful people I have been able to teach.
Karen Ambs, is one of the greatest mentors that's been a part of my life. As a voice teacher, an artist, and person I could always trust her for advice or encouragement. She was able to unlock my voice to a new potential and helped me grow as a singer, actor, and person. When I sing a part of me will always think of her.
